1. Main Responsibilities

The International Relations Specialist is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and developing relationships with foreign partners, supporting international trade, diplomacy, and ensuring smooth international transactions. Specific duties include:

  • Building and Maintaining International Relationships:
    • Establish, maintain, and expand relationships with foreign partners, organizations, and businesses.
    • Participate in negotiations, discussions, and drafting international cooperation agreements or contracts.
    • Represent the company/organization at international events, conferences, or workshops.
  • Supporting International Trade and Procedures:
    • Handle procedures related to import/export, international commercial contracts, transportation, and logistics.
    • Prepare, draft, and review documents, contracts, and correspondence for international relations (in English or other required languages).
    • Coordinate with relevant departments (legal, finance, business) to ensure compliance with international and domestic regulations.
  • Translation and Cross-Cultural Communication:
    • Translate documents, contracts, emails, and other materials related to international relations.
    • Provide interpretation during meetings, conferences, or negotiations with foreign partners.
    • Ensure effective communication tailored to the cultural norms and customs of different countries.
  • Research and Analysis of International Markets:
    • Collect and analyze information about foreign markets, competitors, and potential partners.
    • Propose strategies and plans for international cooperation aligned with the organization’s goals.
    • Monitor global economic, political, and cultural trends to support strategic decision-making.
  • Organizing and Managing International Events:
    • Coordinate the organization of international events, workshops, exhibitions, or cultural exchange programs.
    • Manage schedules, receive, and support international delegations visiting the company/organization.
  • Reporting and Advisory:
    • Prepare periodic reports on the progress of international projects and cooperation outcomes.
    • Advise leadership on opportunities, risks, and strategies for developing international relations.

2. Job Requirements

To qualify for the International Relations Specialist position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in fields such as International Relations, International Economics, Foreign Trade, Foreign Languages, International Business, or related disciplines.
    • 1-3 years of experience in international relations, import/export, or working with foreign partners (preference for candidates with practical experience).
    • Prior experience in multinational companies, international organizations, or diplomatic agencies is an advantage.
  • Professional Skills:
    • Language Proficiency: Fluency in at least one foreign language, typically English (TOEIC 800+, IELTS 6.5+, or equivalent). Knowledge of additional languages such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, etc., is a plus.
    • Communication and Negotiation Skills: Ability to communicate effectively, persuade, and handle situations flexibly in a multicultural environment.
    • Office Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and software for document and email management.
    • Knowledge of International Regulations: Understanding of international trade regulations, contracts, import/export taxes, and free trade agreements (FTAs).
    • Research and Analytical Skills: Ability to collect, analyze market data, and propose strategic recommendations.

    • Professional demeanor, confidence, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility.
    • Ability to work independently and in teams, with resilience under pressure.
    • Cultural sensitivity and adaptability when interacting with partners from diverse countries.
